MONTSERRADO COUNTY – WiRED International in partnership with the Vulnerable Empowerment Foundation International Liberia Inc. (VEFIL), on Saturday, October 22, 2022, conducted a Community Health Workers (CHW) training for twenty (20) young Liberians wishing to become Community Health Workers (CHWs).
Seventeen students out of the twenty were successful.
The training took place from July 25 – August 19, 2022, at the Red Cross Training Center in Jacob’s Town, Paynesville, Monrovia.
This training is the first of a five (5) years training program anticipated to provide Community Health Education to an additional 813 CHWs in Liberia totaling 1000 people CHWs.
Vulnerable Empowerment Foundation International Liberia Incorporated is a legally registered, non-governmental, non-political, non-religious, nonprofit, humanitarian Organization (NGO), created in 2003 and registered in 2019.
Its vision is to help young and disadvantaged Liberians and communities to gain skills in health, Community Health Education, and other life transformation-related fields.
“WiRED International” is an organization that brings vital medical and health education, free of charge, to underserved communities around the world.
