LIBERIA – The American author, Robert Harold Schuller, couldn’t have incised it any better when he said, “Big egos have little ears.” Con-Star embodies Schuller’s shrewd submission. COP Con-Star is on a wild safari to self-destruct. Blame it on his avid craving for pecuniary gains. To Con-Star, politics is all about profit and what he can pocket. Enough of his white noise. We are ending it.
Who sponsored his splurge of tantrums against a noble and an upright statesman in JNB? NaFAA Boss Emma Metieh-Glassco bankrolled Con-Star with US$50,000 to puke out a blitz of fibs –a flareup of egomania. I will release more fact-based details on this deal in episode 2. The extent of Con-Star’s two-facedness personifies a valueless crook desperately in search of pro-regime largesse. But who doesn’t know Con-Star? Is he not on more than 5 leaked audios negotiating kickbacks to compromise public interests?
In episode 1 of this 2-part series, let’s begin to erase all of his bare-faced LIES.
1) “As we break our silence today, we do so with a renewed sense of purpose after a period of sober reflection.”
Which “silence is Con-Star breaking” when he’s been posting on social media and gossiping about JNB to almost everyone? Everything he ever said today had already been revealed by him and heard by many a long time ago. So, which “silence” was he breaking? To be honest, Con-Star was never having any ‘sober reflection’ as claimed. As usual, he was having shady transactions with different bidders.
2) “In 2017, we made a clear and patriotic decision to stand firmly with the U.P. and its standard bearer JNB because of his experience.”
Con-Star has been a maligner ever since. He often lies through his teeth and then begins to believe his own lies. In 2017, how did you “firmly stand” by U.P. and JNB? Didn’t you brand JNB as ‘an old sleeping man’? Didn’t you tell voters to snub him because he was ‘unfit and corrupt’? Didn’t you tag him as ‘kojolobo’? The evidence of your tirades against JNB is everywhere on social media. Who doesn’t know you? Do you know what constitutes “firm support”?
After castigating him for months, you only ran back to JNB in round 2 because CDC paid your demands no heed. In less than 3 months, you became a pro-Weah publicist in January 2017 up till November 2017 after they bankrolled you through Sekou Kalasco. The leaked audio is still available to prove. So, how were you so loyal to JNB? You had the “power to make JNB president” but could not make yourself a representative? This must be a faux pas.
3) “A decision that would later lead to the ALP being treated with great disregard. This did not deter us as we remained unflinching in our support of JNB.”
Your support to JNB was never “unflinching”. You backpedaled several times. The record can prove this. Con-Star gave no evidence of how, where, why, and when did JNB and U.P. “disregard ALP”. Another wild claim only intended to soothe his benefactors (Emma Glasco, Samuel Tweah, and George Weah). You benefitted more from your relationship with JNB than JNB benefitted.
In his subconscious mind, U.S. Sanctioned Nathaniel McGill had thought that JNB was under your spell or an exclusive control. So, he bankrolled your tuition at Wilmington University because he thought you would have helped them to hoodwink JNB. So, who benefitted more? You used Boakai’s name and image to collect thousands of USD from different donors whom JNB didn’t even know. You pretended as though it was your own money even though you have no gainful employment. Aren’t you dependent on windfall revenue?
1) “As for financial support, Mr. Urey, Ms. Telia Urey, and I sustain immense financial support to JNB that we do not want to utter. There are tons of witnesses.”
Which “immense financial support” is Con-Star referring to? To collect 30,000 USD in Boakai’s name and give him 5,000 USD while you siphon 25,000 without letting him know your clandestine dealings? JNB was even of greater help to you than you were to him. There are “tons of witnesses” but you could not even refer to a single one.
2) “When the ALP established that the CPP document was fraudulently tempered with by the ANC. Both JNB and Urey decided to go to Court. Being the current CPP chairman and an elderly statesman, JNB told the ALP that it would not be good for him to be a direct party in the lawsuit. So, he asked the ALP to singlehandedly file a lawsuit against the ANC and Cummings.”
Again, the dream of the CPP was shattered because of your overinflated ego and arrogance. Beyond this, McGill was bankrolling you and Musa Bility to instigate chaos within the CPP. The collapse of the CPP was a product of a government-sponsored machination. JNB did not tell you and the ALP any such thing. How could have JNB even ask you to file a lawsuit against ANC?
You created these skirmishes to distort with an endgame to extort. Your so-called “bloc voting” was just a recipe that facilitated deepened feud within the CPP. The truth of the matter is that you thought that the collapse of the CPP would have given you absolute control of JNB which could have eventually upped your bargaining power with pro-regime bidders.
3) “Urey proceeded and recruited Prof. Alaric Tokpa to work on a plan. Thus, the Democratic Alliance of Liberia was formed.”
I have a very close relationship with Prof. Tokpa. I just called him, and he’s denied all of Con-Star’s claims. This is the extent to which Con-Star can go in order to satisfy his insatiable ego. Why even recruit Prof. Tokpa when he’s already an advisor to JNB? He was even present at JNB’s running-mate program when you were absent. Why is Con-Star even lying on Kofi Woods, Brownie Samukai, and Rep. Nyumaleh.
4) “On January 30, 2023, I had a very important meeting at Royal in Room 309 with representatives of some very serious and important people. They offered me millions to run for the presidency of Liberia in this year’s general election. Their proposition though massive was not a shock to me as a powerful man of God had earlier prophesized 3 years ago in 2020. They told me that they had conducted a survey and that I had a strong favorability across the country.”
Con-Star failed to mention the “representatives of some very serious and important people”. Who are the “representatives”? Where are they from? How they did manage to know you? Who introduced them to you? In fact, who are the “very serious and important people”? Con-Star fell short of providing any details. Con-Star claimed that he was offered “millions” in his first claim. Later, he said “30 million”.
Con-Star needs to understand that politics is not prophecy. Where did they conduct the “survey”? What was the nature of the survey? Where is the statistical result of the survey? If you could not even obtain 4,000 votes in a common district election, how can any survey suggest a “strong favorability across Liberia” for you? Is this a prank or a sophistry?
As an ALP Candidate in 2017, you only got 3,287 votes which constitutes 8%. Even in a District, you don’t have a ‘strong favorability’. How then is that possible in a county or an entire country? Did Con-Star say he turned down 30 million USD? When did he become a maestro of comedy? I will address this claim in part 2.
5) “I received a call from the financial backers and they accepted my request but with one condition. That I should be Amb. Boakai’s running mate.”
Initially, they were “representatives of some serious and important people”. But now, they are his “financial backers”. Con-Star’s entire press statement was a blitz of fibs. The same “financial backers” you told that you did not want to be president? “Financial backers” or “Finance Minister Samuel Tweah”? Is this not the same Con-Star who wickedly forged and released a fake medical report on JNB? Had we not quickly quashed it like we are erasing his lies now, it would have sufficed.
6) “He promised to give them, my financial backers, anything they want if they gave him the 30m. In specificity, he told them that he would give them the Wologisi Mountain.”
The biggest LIE ever told. Does Con-Star even know what it means to give a mountain out to an investor? Does he know the processes and technical requirements that are needed to be satisfied? Does Con-Star even know the commercial value of the deposits in Mount Wologisi? Without any prospecting or exploration, JNB will just give out Mount Wologisi?
Without legislative approval, he will just give out Wologisi? It was JNB who vehemently opposed Samuel Tweah’s so-called “Mineral Development Swap” of Wologisi Mountain. Con-Star must have disappointed his 50k financier(s). They were conned. His press conference has zero impact on JNB’s formidability and indomitability in these elections. Con-Star has lost his way, and he has lost every trust. Henceforth, anything he says will be considered a burlesque.
Con-Star is on his way to the CDC. That stuff you did in 2017 won’t work in 2023. The political variables in 2023 are quite different. The Liberian people are not commodities. They deserve better than being commodified. You spewed out more than 40 claims but could not validate even one. This is SHAM.
