CDC ENDORSES CLLR. JOSEPH K. JALLAH FOR LOFA COUNTY SENATE ELECTION; SAYS HE REPRESENTS THE PROGRESSIVE ASPIRATIONS OF LOFA CITIZENS

Date:

LOFA COUNTY – The National Executive Committee of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) today endorsed Cllr. Joseph Kpator Jallah, an independent candidate vying for the Senate in the National Election Commission’s announced bye-election campaign in Lofa County.

In a statement released over the weekend, the leadership of the mighty Coalition for Democratic Change disclosed that ‘After careful scrutiny of the background, history, experience and progressive credentials of various candidates, Cllr. Jallah excels in prominence as the most prepared statesman to provide Senate leadership in pursuit of its socio-economic, infrastructural, educational, and agricultural agenda for the people of Lofa County.

Furthermore, the release noted, the party’s support for Cllr. Jallah is also influenced by existing commonalities he shares with the CDC’s development platform, which prioritizes the interests of ordinary Liberians, teachers, students, farmers, and civil servants alike.

While committing (to the Jallah campaign) the entire framework of the National Patriotic Party, the Liberia People’s Democratic Party, and the Congress for Democratic Change, the leadership of the CDC asserted that it became important to throw its full weight behind the candidate’s campaign in order to push forward the national interests of citizens, chiefs, farmers and students of Lofa County.

The CDC endorsement comes as the party continues its ongoing restructuring programs in all fifteen counties, which is to be followed by the conduct of county and national conventions throughout the country.

Henceforth, to enhance its strategic goals designed to build a more powerful political framework within which the CDC will experience tremendous expansion and better organization, the leadership of the party made the decision to restrain its participation in the ongoing bye-election in preparation for the future dominance of the mighty Coalition for Democratic Change.

In conclusion, the National Executive Committee of the tripartite Coalition for Democratic Change is calling on all members and stalwarts of the three political parties in the coalition and collaborating partners to strongly support and join the campaign to elect Cllr. Joseph Kpator Jallah as Senator of Lofa County.

This statement is released by the authority of the National Executive Committee of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC).
