ISAAC JACKSON ACCUSES INCOMING PRES. JOSEPH BOAKAI OF NOT BEING A NATURAL-BORN LIBERIAN

Date:

MONROVIA – Isaac Jackson, a Liberian lawyer, has made a serious allegation against incoming Liberian President Joseph Boakai, stating that Boakai is not a natural born Liberian, and alleges that Boakai was born in neighboring Sierra Leone.

The Liberian Constitution says, only a natural-born Liberian can be President of Liberia. This statement comes following the legal actions taken against the recently elected speaker of the Liberian House of Representatives, Cllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa, who was sued by the UP for allegedly being a US citizen.

Jackson criticized President-elect Joseph Boakai and the incoming ruling Unity Party for taking legal action against Cllr. Koffa, warning that such actions could backfire. At the time of the allegation which was placed on his Facebook page, Boakai and his officials could not be reached for comment. The situation seems to be developing and further updates are expected.
