“LIBERIA SETS GLOBAL DEMOCRACY STANDARD: OVER 9,000 INTERNATIONAL OBSERVERS MONITORING HISTORIC ELECTIONS WITH 2.4 MILLION LIBERIANS CASTING VOTES”

MONROVIA – The entire world has its gaze fixed on Liberia, as over 9,000 international election observers descend on Liberia to monitor this landmark election. 2.4 million Liberians are to elect their President and members of the National Legislature.

The National Election Commission has diligently distributed 8,441 observer tags to ensure transparency and fairness.

Among the observers, 5,009 are males, ready to fulfill their duty with conviction and dedication. Accompanying them were 3,456 equally determined females, both national and international, who are determined to make a difference.

This diverse group of observers hailed from prestigious organizations such as ECONEC AU, ECOWAS, EU, ECC, Brenthurst from South Africa, and Civil Society from Freetown, Sierra Leone. There are Observers from the United States as well. They represented a multitude of perspectives, experiences, and expertise, united by their common goal of ensuring a free and fair electoral process.

As the sun rose higher in the sky, the people of Liberia began to gather at polling stations across the nation. Excitement and anticipation filled the air as 2.4 million Liberians are casting their votes for the President, senators, and representatives who would guide their nation’s destiny.

The international observers fanned out across the country, meticulously monitoring each polling station. With their keen eyes and unbiased judgment, they are scrutinizing every aspect of the election process.

Sine observed the opening of the polling stations, ensuring that they followed the prescribed procedures. Some monitored the distribution of ballot papers, verifying their authenticity and recording any irregularities.
