U.S. EMBASSY’S PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT TEAM VISITS IEARN LIBERIA, COMMENDS YOUTH ENGAGEMENT EFFORTS

Date:

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – iEARN Liberia, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people through information communication technology, recently received an official visit from the Public Engagement Team of the U.S. Embassy near Monrovia.

The visit underscores the longstanding partnership between iEARN Liberia and the U.S. Embassy, which has been instrumental in advancing youth engagement and digital literacy initiatives in Liberia.

During the visit, the U.S. Embassy team expressed their excitement and admiration for the impactful work being carried out by iEARN Liberia. They were particularly interested in learning about the organization’s engagement activities with young people, including the Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange Program, the Access Program, and various professional development programs for teachers and students.

“We were delighted to brief the U.S. Embassy team about our ongoing initiatives and the positive impact they have on the lives of young people in Liberia,” said a spokesperson for iEARN Liberia. “Their support and encouragement further motivate us to continue our efforts to empower our young population, who are the cornerstone for the future that lies ahead.”

Established in 2005, iEARN Liberia has been at the forefront of bridging the digital divide and promoting digital literacy among young people in Liberia. The organization has enabled thousands of young people to harness the power of technology to enhance their learning experiences and prepare for future opportunities.

In addition to its youth engagement programs, iEARN Liberia also assists teachers in integrating technology into their classrooms through learning management programs, further contributing to the advancement of education in Liberia.

As iEARN Liberia continues to make strides in empowering young people and bridging the digital divide, the support and collaboration from partners like the U.S. Embassy Monrovia play a crucial role in realizing their mission and making a lasting impact on the future of Liberia.
