MONROVIA – Students from the Konbah Leadership Academy in Bassa Town, Dixville, Montserrado County, had an exciting and educational field trip on Friday, March 7, 2025. The students were taken on a tour around central Monrovia, where they had the opportunity to view some of the city’s most impressive structures, including bridges and the sea. Their journey included visits to Unification Park and the PHP community in Monrovia.

At Unification Park, the students conversed and engaged in a series of fun-filled activities, including kickball, football, and a seesaw ride. They also enjoyed a car ride around the area, further exploring the beauty of the city. The students were full of praise for the administration, expressing their joy and excitement for such a memorable experience.
Momo Freeman, the principal of Konbah Leadership Academy, spoke with Smart News Liberia about the purpose of the trip. He explained that the excursion was designed to provide the students, particularly the younger ones, with exposure to the city and its surroundings. “The children were happy and they played and had fun,” Freeman said. He expressed his hope for similar trips in the future to continue offering valuable exposure for the students.

The trip also saw the participation of several parents, who joined in the kickball match with the students. Parents expressed their happiness to see their children playing and having fun together, thanking the school administration for providing such a significant experience for their children.
In total, 85 students, parents, and faculty members made the trip, which was a testament to the sense of community and support within the Konbah Leadership Academy. The school, which was founded on May 31, 2022, continues to foster educational and recreational activities that enrich the lives of its students.
