KAKATA, MARGIBI COUNTY – Police in Kakata have arrested a notorious drug dealer following a joint effort by residents of Borlorla Township. The suspect has been identified as 50-year-old Weifur Gwehso, a resident of the Sugar Hill Community in Kakata City.
According to reports, community members played a crucial role in the operation by tracking the suspect’s movements and alerting the police. Their swift action enabled officers to apprehend Gwehso without incident.
The arrested suspect has been handed over to the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Kakata office for further investigation. Authorities have praised the community for its cooperation, noting that such partnerships are vital in the ongoing fight against illegal drug activities in Margibi County and across Liberia.
Police have meanwhile urged other communities to remain vigilant and continue working with law enforcement to ensure safer neighborhoods.
