PHILADELPHIA, USA – The Citizens Movement for Change (CMC) has officially acknowledged the resignation of Madam Grace Renelle Guar, who until October 25, 2025, served as Chairperson of the organization’s USA/Canada Chapter.

In a press release issued on Sunday, October 26, 2025, the movement described Madam Guar as an “integral part of the CMC’s formative journey,” noting that her leadership, commitment, and passion were instrumental in building a strong and vibrant diaspora chapter that continues to inspire patriotism among Liberians living abroad.

While expressing regret over her departure, the CMC said it fully respects her decision, emphasizing that leadership often requires conviction and courage to follow one’s beliefs, even when those beliefs lead to different paths. The organization praised Madam Guar’s integrity and independent thinking, qualities it said reflect the true spirit of the Citizens Movement for Change.

“The CMC remains grateful for her service and the positive mark she leaves on our movement,” the statement read. “The foundation she helped lay will remain an enduring part of our collective story.”

The release further reaffirmed the CMC’s commitment to values of respect, openness, and accountability, stressing that every contribution made in good faith helps strengthen the organization’s mission to build a better Liberia.

On behalf of the National Political Leader, Hon. Musa Hassan Bility, and the CMC family worldwide, the organization extended heartfelt appreciation to Madam Guar and wished her success in her future endeavors.

“Though our organizational paths may differ, our shared dream of a peaceful and prosperous Liberia continues to unite us in purpose and hope,” the statement concluded.

The press release was signed by Smith M. Toby, Media and Communications Director of the Citizens Movement for Change.
