AGGRIEVED WORKERS OF ROYAL COMMUNICATION APPEAL FOR FOUR MONTHS’ ARREARS

Date:

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – In a heartfelt plea, the aggrieved workers of Royal Communication Inc., which owns King’s City FM and Clar TV Channel 5, have appealed to CEO and former President George M. Weah to intervene and ensure the release of four months’ salary arrears owed to them by the company.

The workers, speaking through a letter released on May 9, 2024, expressed their dire situation, stating that as a result of the unpaid salaries, their children are unable to attend school, some are facing eviction from their homes, and others are struggling to pay their university fees.

Despite efforts to engage the management team, led by Amb. Shaifa Kromah and James Emmanuel Potter, the workers claim that their appeals have been fruitless. They have now turned to Former President Weah, known for his peaceful nature, to intervene on their behalf and ensure that their salaries are paid without further delay.

The workers emphasized that their plea is not intended to cause disruption but rather to seek a peaceful resolution to their plight. They expressed confidence in former President Weah’s ability to address the issue promptly and called for his intervention in the soonest possible time.

The workers have provided contact numbers for further communication and are hopeful that their appeal will be heard and acted upon swiftly to alleviate their financial hardships.
