MONROVIA – The murder trial of defendant Bill Jallah took a dramatic turn on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, when the accused mounted the witness stand and tearfully pleaded for forgiveness.
Jallah, who is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, and aggravated assault, was allowed to testify on his own behalf after his lawyers filed a motion that was granted by Criminal Court “B” Presiding Judge Wesseh Alphonsus Wesseh at the Temple of Justice.
Appearing emotional and speaking from the witness stand, Jallah, who is currently held at Monrovia Central Prison, expressed remorse over the killing of Princess Wesseh. “I want to apologize to the Government of Liberia and this Honorable Court,” he said. “Most especially to Ma-Mad, the mother of Princess. I am sorry for taking your daughter’s life.”
He further extended his apology to the victim’s young son, Eddie, her brother Isaac, and the broader Wesseh and Zoe families. “I know that saying sorry cannot undo what has happened, but I am appealing to this court for mercy,” he added.
