MONROVIA – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has suspended the Deputy Minister for Youth Development at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr. Bryant McGill, following allegations of rape involving a minor.
The Executive Mansion announced the decision in a press release issued on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, emphasizing the government’s zero-tolerance stance on sexual and gender-based violence. The suspension, according to the release, is intended to allow for a fair and transparent investigation into the matter.
“Deputy Minister McGill will remain suspended until the conclusion of the investigation,” the statement declared, underscoring President Boakai’s commitment to accountability and the protection of vulnerable groups, especially women and children.
