“DON’T VOTE FOR GEORGE WEAH AGAIN, HE HAS BEEN TESTED AND HAS FAILED”

Date:

President George M. Weah

“The thing that is operating in Monrovia is not a government. If it is anything, it is a myth that should not be allowed to stay on because it has been tested and failed”, says Cllr. Jerome Verdier, former Liberia’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Chairman.

Verdier said Weah did not win elections in Liberia, without giving any evidence to this claim, except for saying that Weah was helped by Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to be where he is. Cllr. Verdier urged Liberians not to give him a second term because he has been tested and failed.

Verdier indicated that the CDC government always boasted that it does not have political prisoners, but alleged the Government has killed political opponents, again without pointing to any evidence.

And when the interviewer asked him to show evidence, he said: “What facts are you talking about? Do you want evidence? But you are not a court. It is only in the court that people avail evidence.”

Verdier added: “I can tell you that all of those who are killing and stealing in Liberia, will get justice. Those who are killing and stealing will be held accountable. The fact that auditors were killed-were they struck by angels? What about the EPS officer who was said to have shot himself three times? What about Zunu Miller? What happens to the investigation of these cases?”

He disclosed that all the people in Liberia know the truth. Those in authority know the truth. But the truth will find them out when they shall have left government, Cllr. Verdier continued.

They will be arrested and jailed when they have left power, said Cllr. Verdier, who was speaking to DJ Rogers of HOT FM this morning from the United States.
