GOLDEN SIFCA INDUCTS FIRST OFFICIALS SINCE 2021 FORMATION

Date:

By Aaron B Nemah

MARYLAND – For the first time since its formation in 2021, Golden Sifca Incorporated has inducted its officials into office. The induction ceremony, held at the company’s premises, was attended by workers and key company figures, including the President of the General Agriculture and Allied Workers Union of Liberia (GAAWUL), Mr. Paul W. Dweh.

The newly inducted positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Grievances Officer, and Financial Officer. Anthony D. Sieh, the elected President, expressed his excitement over his new role and vowed to foster a good leadership style in his administration. He emphasized that inclusiveness will be a key priority in his administration to address issues affecting employees at the factory.

“Under my administration, I will make sure that both the factory management and the union cooperate to settle long-time disputes that have been hindering employees,” Sieh stated. During the occasion, he urged the workers of Golden Sifca Incorporated (GSI) to build trust in his leadership and report issues that may be affecting them.

Highlighting the significance of leadership ability, GAAWUL President Paul W. Dweh stressed, “Leaders are not made, but born,” and that a good leader should always meet the needs of his people. He added that the elected officers should collectively seek the welfare of the factory to avoid disputes between employees and management.

“For the past few years, workers and management of the factory have been in serious clashes because of the lack of a union to steer the affairs of confronting situations that may arise among them,” Dweh lamented. He re-emphasized the importance of good leadership and urged the elected officers to value their positions and execute their roles effectively for the smooth operation of the company.
