LIBERIA – The JNB Tact Team has expressed disappointment in the Government of Liberia (GoL) over the GoL’s recent press release signed by Information Minister Ledgerhood J. Rennie regarding what the group calls a deceptive offer to “help” former Vice President Joseph Nyuma Boakai.
In a press release mostly circulated on social media on Friday, 13 January, the Government of Liberia (GoL), through its Ministry of Information Cultural Affairs and Tourism (MICAT), stated that it was concerned about what it described as the ill health of former Vice President Boakai.
The GoL, in its press release, claimed it had initiated contact with family members of former Vice President Boakai, and that it had offered to help in whatever way the family deemed necessary.
Howbeit, in a statement issued Friday evening, the JNB Tact Team differed with the GoL over the issuance of its press release, which the group referred to as a failed and totally unacceptable propaganda stunt that seeks to politicize the health situation of Ambassador Boakai, who the Tact-Team described as a distinguished statesman.
The Tact Team pointed out that it is sad that instead of the Government focusing on bettering the lives of the people that elected it to political power, it is more focused on the upcoming elections and propaganda.
“We condemn, in the strongest terms, the politicizing of the health condition of former Vice President Boakai, as is deceptively being done by the George Weah-led government,” the JNB Tact Team emphasized.
The Tact Team, in its statement signed by its National Chairperson, Ms. Telia Urey, cautioned the Weah-led government that instead of releasing politically charged statements that are completely erroneous and misleading, the GoL should rather focus on fixing the country’s healthcare system, which it says has been crippled under the watch of President Weah.
“Should the Government want to help citizens with health conditions, we admonish them to concentrate on helping the driver and security guard who was involved in an accident with Minister Samuel Tweah and were left in Liberia to languish at a hospital without access to good healthcare, while Finance Minister Tweah and his wife were taken out of the country to a Turkish hospital for advanced medical treatment,” the JNB Tact Team noted.
It can be recalled that late last year, the Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Samuel Tweah, was reportedly flown to Turkey for advanced medical treatment, following a car accident involving him, his wife, and two others on the Lofa – Bong Counties highway.
The group pointed out that the Standard Bearer of the Unity Party, former Vice President Boakai will not be tricked into any form of propaganda war with the GoL, which the Tact Team described as an unserious government that lacks priorities and focus.
“This is another clear sign that our government is being reduced to a circus, as opposed to carrying out serious government duties that are essential to the well-being of Liberians, whose lives the government has disappointingly jeopardized through rampant corruption, misrule, and irresponsible and poor leadership,” the JNB Tact Team averred.
The JNB Tact Team is a pro-democracy organization comprising patriotic Liberians from all walks of life with various professional backgrounds, having the singular goal of ensuring through peaceful democratic means that former Vice President Ambassador Joseph Nyuma Boakai becomes Liberia’s next President in 2023.
Recently, amid mounting public concerns regarding the well-being of the Standard Bearer of the main opposition Unity Party (UP), Ambassador Boakai, the UP clarified that he’s alive and kicking.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, 10 January 2023, Unity Party informed the public that on Sunday, 8, January, the UP Standard Bearer checked into a local hospital in Monrovia, for precautionary observation after he felt light fever, with the party indicating at the time that was that Ambassador Boakai was fine and in good health.
I find Telia Urey’s representation of the George Weah administration’s expression of concern over the ill health of former V.P. Boakai is a misrepresentation of the matter at hand. JNB is no ordinary figure within the Liberian society. Whilst it is true that landing a statement of concern over JNB ill health of JNB might seem political, it is a well placed political advantage to the ruling party, and condemning the GoL for expressing such understanding of the situation is immature. Quite to the contrary, it would have been unpatriotic and inhumane for the President, George M. Weah, not to attach the level of concern as expressed in the GoL press release, which is politically appropriate for such prominent citizen. Even more importantly, this is not the first time GMW have identified with the former V.P. during periods of ill health.

Sadly, the US unprecedented silence on these arms discoveries leaves rooms for suspicions of their involvements particularly its loud mouth ambassador near Monrovia!
Indeed, America’s greatest complementary to Liberia’s struggles have been proxy mayhem orchestrated from within America by Americans complicit in cohort with dissents Liberian collaborators.
The new generational debate should identify options of Liberia’s proximity to America!
Liberia is better off without America so to speak!
Truly, the US is no different from Russia! Both nations do not respect sovereignty and territorial integrity of other nations! The worst case scenario, however, is the US’s global belligerence, interference and its nurture of undemocratic activities worldwide!
A Superpower’s paucity of violence is a crime against humanity that should be accounted for internationally!
While ambassador McCarthy against diplomatic etiquettes, has become a vicious critic of the current Liberian Government thereby meddling in the domestic politics, he has become a lame dock to the arms issues fully aware that Liberians are suspecting him of involvement!
The inference of US’s silence on these arms discoveries is significantly a proof of their covert maneuverability that are contemplating a regime change either by armed revolts or by other unconstitutional means.
Retrospectively, the destruction of Liberia emanated from the US-The infamous 1979 Rice Riot, The 1980 coup detat that killed president William R. Tolbert Jr, The 1989 Charles’ Taylor Invasion, The LURD’s Rebels Incursion from Guinea- were orchestrated from the US. American foreign policy on Liberia is woefully an entanglement of inequality. Washington’s favorote line of succession in Liberia is the embodiment of the old Americo Liberian dominance!
Why is US Ambassador Mccarthy muted in the face of compelling evidence of the arms shipment emanating from his country?
Is Ambassador Mccarthy a replay of some of Liberia’s horrible past events, or is the US ambassador complicit?
Clearly, Counselor Gongloe’s will be the next American target because they found that he will not bend to wipe their shoes nose as did Ellen Johnson!
Joseph N Boakai and Benoni’s Urey on the one hand are conspicuously silent on these arms discoveries because

Urey’s affiliation is a product of undemocratic precedent for an interim government. Urey is still an arm dealer in disguise and is connecting his old bots for arms in Liberia. As old as Boakai is, he is the center of recruitment through Browne Samukai and Kabineh Jaineh, a reason why Boakai recently went to meet in Nigeria since the Ghanaians refused their territory!!
