KOON CONGRATULATES NEWLY ELECTED LIBERIAN REPRESENTATIVES TO ECOWAS PARLIAMENT

Date:

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Speaker of the House of Representatives, Richard Nagbe Koon, has extended heartfelt congratulations to three members of the House who were recently elected to represent Liberia at the ECOWAS Parliament. Hon. Moima Briggs-Mensah, Hon. Augustine B. Chiewolo, and Hon. Samson Q. Wiah were selected to serve in this important regional role, a move Speaker Koon describes as a testament to the trust and confidence their colleagues have in their leadership.

In a statement issued following the election, Speaker Koon expressed his pride in the selection of the three distinguished lawmakers. He highlighted their commitment to service and their dedication to strengthening Liberia’s voice in the ECOWAS Parliament.

“This election reflects the trust and confidence the members of this House have in their leadership abilities,” Speaker Koon said. “Each of these distinguished leaders brings dedication and commitment to their new roles. It is evident that their collective representation will strengthen Liberia’s voice in the ECOWAS Parliament.”

Koon further reassured the elected representatives that their selection was in full accordance with the House’s standing rules and procedures. He encouraged them to maintain the highest standards of democracy, unity, and progress as they assume their new roles.

“As they take on this significant responsibility, I urge them to remain steadfast in their commitment to advancing the interests of our people and ensuring that Liberia continues to make progress in the regional body,” Koon added.

He concluded by wishing the newly elected members a successful tenure, urging them to serve with pride and distinction as they represent Liberia in the ECOWAS Parliament.
