MONROVIA – The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has arrested a suspected notorious drug dealer, William James, also known as “Will,” along with his girlfriend, popularly referred to as “JLo,” in the New Georgia State community.
According to an LDEA press release, the pair was found in possession of 550 grams of high-grade marijuana, locally called “Lowe’s,” following weeks of targeted surveillance that linked them to a drug network operating in Montserrado and Nimba Counties.
The press release described the arrests as a “major breakthrough in the fight against illicit drugs,” noting that the operation targeted individuals responsible for the distribution and trafficking of dangerous substances in the region.
Residents of New Georgia State welcomed the arrests, citing growing concerns over crime and drug addiction in the community.
Both suspects are currently undergoing investigation and are expected to face prosecution under Liberia’s drug laws, the release added.
The LDEA reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying operations against drug traffickers and networks across the country, emphasizing that combating illicit drugs remains a national priority.
