MONROVIA – The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has announced the arrest of six women during a series of random ghetto raids conducted across Montserrado County and surrounding areas earlier this month. The operation, led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Patrick Kormazu, took place between September 4 and 7, 2025.
According to the LDEA, the suspects were apprehended with varying quantities of narcotics, including kush and marijuana, in violation of Liberia’s new drug law. The offense is classified as non-bailable, and the women are currently held at the Monrovia Central Prison awaiting trial.
Those arrested include Nuch Autridge, 30, found with 63 grams of kush; Massa Kamara, 22, in possession of 25 grams of marijuana; Wede Teah, 30, with 22 grams of marijuana; Elizabeth Doe, 23, with 62 grams of kush; Precillia Koffi, 19, with 63 grams of marijuana; and Massa Dsrnary, 35, with 37 grams of kush.
The agency stressed that the arrests form part of its broader efforts to clamp down on the trafficking and abuse of narcotics in Liberia. It also called on the public to play an active role by reporting drug-related activities through the LDEA hotline at 0777-133-333.
The statement was signed by Orlendo Demey, Chief of the Public Relations Department of the LDEA, who reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to tackling illegal drug activity and ensuring accountability under the law.
