MONROVIA – Activist Martin K. N. Kollie claimed the First Lady of the Republic of Liberia Clar Weah never had a single room of her own in Liberia, Jamaica, or the USA before becoming First Lady… “Today, she is calling this giant-sized complex her private property (Clar Hope Foundation).
Kollie claimed Clar Hope Foundation is being built on 15 acres of land in Marshall, Margibi County. “How did Clar get money to build such a mammoth private mansion so quickly?
“She will have to fully account!”
He said US Congressman Chris Smith was right to have described Pres. Weah’s government as “Kleptocratic and politically corrupt”.
“This giant-sized mansion privately owned by Pres. Weah’s wife does validate Rep. Chris Smith’s bold claim.”
Furthermore, activist Kollie claimed Madam Clar Weah has received over US$2.7 million tax dollars as direct budgetary support in just 36 months, noting “We are taking notes. She is yet to release a single financial report or performance report to account for public funds.”
“Her office needs to be audited. I am doing a formal letter for GAC, IAA, and LACC to audit and investigate her office. We deserve to know what she did with our money. And she must also tell us how she built this private complex in less than 3 years while Liberians are being entrapped in acute poverty and misery.”
“We are thoroughly investigating Madam Clar Weah’s office. Our duty is to protect the public interest and expose hidden truths. They came to loot and not to lead. Liberia deserves better. Good morning fellow Liberians.”
