LIBERIA: LEO SIMPSON ENDORSES JOSEPH BOAKAI’S PRESIDENTIAL BID

MONROVIA:  With just a few days to the conduct of the November 14, 2023, Run-off Presidential elections, it is seeming excessively obvious that the election bid of former Liberia’s Vice President Ambassador Joseph N. Boakai of the Unity Party is unavoidable, as the Boakai   2023 Campaign Team is gathering enormous endorsements from across the political spectrum of Liberia.

The latest is from a veteran Liberian educator Dr. Leo M. Simpson, Principal and Chief Administer of the Haywood Mission Institute located on the old road in Sinkor, Monrovia.

Liberia’s closest election in two decades now foes to a runoff, official results announced by the nation’s electoral commission,  recently after neither the country’s president nor his main opponent secured a majority.

The election, held on Oct. 10, 2023, was the first such contest fully organized by the Liberia’s government without financial support or assistance from international partners since the end in 2003 of a 14-year civil war that left 250,000 people dead.

The incumbent President George Weah, secured 43.8 percent of the vote, with 100 percent of the ballots counted while Amb. Joseph Boakai, a veteran Liberian state man who served as vice president from 2006 to 2018, trailed slightly, with 43.5 percent of the vote.

Speaking Monday November 6, 2023, at the endorsement ceremony held at the Private office of the Unity Party Standard Bearer Ambassador Joseph N. Boakai in the Rehab Community in Paynesville City, Dr. Simpson described Amb. Boakai as the only man in the raise capable to redeem Liberia from what he calls “a country with huge youthful population that are evolve in commercial motorcycle businesses as their way of life.

He said he has known the Unity Party Standard Bearer for several years and had no doubt that when he is elected he will delivered Liberia   to a prosperous nation.

He lamented that regrettable every parts of the country are now fill with huge park of cabbage   without any authority of government doing anything to help clean the country from the huge park of cabbage.

He expressed the hope that, Liberia under the leadership   of the Unity Party Standard Bearer Ambassador Joseph N. Boakai the huge youthful population that are evolve in commercial motorcycle businesses as their way of life will be a motivated to desist from motorcycle businesses to a sustainable technical and vocational skills that will empower them to contribute to the growth and development of the country.

For his party, Unity Party Standard Bearer Ambassador Joseph N. Boakai lauded Dr. Leo M. Simpson for the endorsement and promised and also pointed out that this country must and will be rescued to regain its lost image.

He said the campaign team of the rescued Mission is doing everything possible to ensure that the votes cast by members and supporters of the Unity Party on November 14, 2023 are protected across the country.

He however, encouraged all Members and supporters of the Unity Party   to do all with in their power to turn out in their numbers to vote on November 14, 2023 during Presidential runoff election day to ensure a total victory for the rescued Mission.
