LIBERIA: TWO DEATHS IN LESS THAN A MONTH AT RIVERSIDE SWIMMING POOL

Date:

MONROVIA – Two deaths in less than a month at Riverside Pool are deeply concerning, warranting immediate action from the relevant authorities, including the Liberia Maritime Authority, a concern citizen.

“It is distressing to note that this facility, owned by Nigerian businessman Dr. Nelson Oniyama of Beer Factory, has now experienced its second homicide incident. Tragically, these incidents occurred on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

The pool, which reaches a depth of 12 feet, operates with a policy of swimming at one’s own risk, yet still charges a fee of US$5 from swimmers. Note that this story has not been verified.
