LRA TO HONOR BEA MOUNTAIN MINING COMPANY AS 2023’S HIGHEST GOLD TAXPAYER

Date:

MONROVIA – The Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) has announced that Bea Mountain Mining Corporation (BMMC) will be recognized as the highest taxpayer in the gold sector for the 2023 fiscal year.

In a letter addressed to the company, the LRA commended BMMC for its exceptional tax compliance and significant contributions to Liberia’s revenue generation efforts.

The Taxpayer Appreciation Award is an annual initiative by the LRA designed to acknowledge and celebrate taxpayers who demonstrate compliance and make meaningful contributions to the nation’s revenue.

“In light of this, the LRA is pleased to honor Bea Mountain Mining Corporation Inc. as the highest contributor overall in the gold sector for 2023,” the letter stated. “Your commitment to tax compliance has significantly supported Liberia’s revenue objectives, and this award stands as a testament to your outstanding performance.”

The recognition underscores the vital role of responsible corporate entities in advancing Liberia’s economic development through tax compliance and contributions to the national budget.

This year’s award ceremony, anticipated to bring together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors, highlights the importance of fostering a culture of accountability and recognition for businesses that actively support Liberia’s economic progress.
