VP Osinbajo, Chairman of Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc and former Chief Executive for Africa Regions, Standard Bank Group, Sola David-Borha and a frontline Liberian presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Madam MacDella Cooper will lead other Key speakers at an international conference on Africa’s Economy: The Way Forward.
The conference will be held at the Newark City Hall, Newark, New Jersey, United States of America (USA) on Saturday, October 22, 2023, at (9:00 AM EST)/(2:00 PM WAT) prompt.
The Conference, which will have Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo as Special Guest of Honour, will, according to a statement by the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Global Patriot Newspapers, Simon Ibe, also feature Speakers Dr. Akil Khalfani, a political activist and Professor of Sociology at the Essex County College, Newark, New Jersey, and Monsignor (Dr.) Anselm Nwaorgu, the first Native-African-born priest to be made a Monsignor in the United States Catholic Church and the first Executive President of the African Conference of Catholic Clergy and Religious in the United States (ACCCRUS).
The Mayor of Newark, New Jersey, Ras. J. Baraka is also expected to address the august gathering that will also have in attendance, an array of top African Diplomats, led by Nigeria’s Consul General in New York, Ambassador Lot Egopija and Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
Among the other top Diplomats expected to grace the occasion are Dr. Motumisi Tawana, the Consul General of South Africa in New York, who is also the Chairman of the African Consuls General Forum (ACGF); El Hadji Amadou Ndao, the Consul General of Senegal in New York; Mohammad Elhalawani, the Deputy Consul General of Egypt in New York, and Sulay-Manah Jobo Kpukumu, Minister Plenipotentiary and Head of Chancery at the Permanent Mission of Sierra Leone to the United Nations.
The event is being put together by Global Patriot Newspapers as a platform for the interrogation of the crises confronting the Economy of Africa, a resource-rich Continent that is wallowing in poverty.
Clerics are not left out of the dignitaries that will converge, onsite and online, at the iconic and historic Rotunda of the Newark City Hall to begin the new conversation that is expected to draw an economic road map for the African Continent.

Members and leaders of such Diaspora groups as Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Americas, Nigeria America Public Affairs Committee (NAPAC), Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), United States of America (USA) chapter are expected at the program as well as members and leaders of different community organizations.
