Maya Sanyeneh, a student at Evelyn Marsh Children Learning Center (EMCLC) school in the United States, has thrived, a beacon of possibility. The school became a second home, a sanctuary where Maya thrived alongside her teachers and friends. With each passing day, her vision continued to improve, and she began to see the world around her in breathtaking colors.
Maya enrolled at the Evelyn Marsh Children Learning Center (EMCLC) School at 3 years old; during her preschool at EMCLC, she did not know colors, shapes, letters, and numbers among others.
Maya education journey was a big challenge for families, relatives and friends, she couldn’t talk, feed herself, and walk when she started her preschool journey with EMCLC and was academically she was way behind.
Today Maya is in the first grade at Parnassus Preparatory School where she is doing very well. Maya’s parents commended EMCLC for being part of her life’s journey.
Miracle Maya entered the world too soon, her tiny body a fragile vessel of premature birth, born three months premature, she spent the first few weeks of her life in a hospital incubator, fighting with every ounce of her tiny body to survive.
The doctors’ words were a chilling prophecy: her eyes, underdeveloped, threatened to steal her sight before her first birthday. A parent’s nightmare, a child’s uncertain future.
Yet, fate had a different path carved for Maya. Prayers ascended, hope flickered, and against all odds, Maya’s vision bloomed. Not only did she see, but her voice joined the symphony of childhood, words tumbling out in joyous discovery.
Despite the unattractive prognosis, Maya’s parents refused to lose hope. They reached out to their community, seeking prayers and support from friends, family, and even strangers. They filled their home with love, laughter, and countless stories, believing that their positivity would provide Maya with strength.
As the months turned into years, Maya grew stronger and more vibrant. She attended the EMCLC school, a place renowned for embracing diversity and nurturing young minds.
Maya had an infectious spirit, and everyone she met was captivated by her charm. By the time she turned five, she was not only seeing but also speaking full sentences, sharing her thoughts and dreams with a radiant smile.

Maya was born three months earlier of the day the doctors showed, all medical professionals who saw her at birth, said she had no chance of survival, but God’s plan for her was different. The doctors’ report gave a 24-hour prognosis, stating that she would be unable to walk, talk, or see, but she beat the odds.
Doctors predicted blindness for Maya before age one due to underdeveloped eyes, but the child’s vision developed normally, contrary to medical expectations.
