PRES. BOAKAI ENGAGES IN PRODUCTIVE TALKS WITH AFRICAN EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN BASIN CEO AND DELEGATION

MONROVIA – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. had a fruitful discussion with Mr. Hakan Gurdal, the CEO, and delegation of the African Eastern Mediterranean Basin, the parent company of Cemenco, a prominent cement producer in Liberia. The meeting revolved around exploring opportunities for expansion, creating employment avenues for at-risk youths, investing in local materials to enhance value addition, and ensuring environmental sustainability and compliance, among other topics.

One of the key areas of focus during the conversation was the potential for utilizing cement in the construction of sustainable roads.
