MONROVIA – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., of Liberia has recently announced a series of key appointments within the government, aimed at enhancing various sectors. The nominations include Mr. Emmanuel Vaye as Assistant Minister for Planning at the Ministry of Mines & Energy, Mr. Carlos T. Edison as Assistant Minister for Mines at the same ministry, and Mr. Cooper Paasewe as Assistant Minister for Administration within the Ministry of Mines & Energy. Additionally, Ms. Saran Kaba Jones has been appointed as Special Assistant to the Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while Atty. Kla Toomey II will serve as Commissioner for Legal at the Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission, and Cllr. Neto Zarzar Lighe, Sr., will take on the role of Commissioner at the Liberia Maritime Authority. Moreover, Mr. Robert Wilmont Kpadeh has been nominated as Permanent Representative at the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
These appointments, pending confirmation by the Liberian Senate, are a strategic move by President Boakai to ensure the effective functioning of key government departments. President Boakai, in urging the nominees, emphasized the importance of upholding diligence, commitment, integrity, professionalism, and loyalty in their service to the country.
