LIBERIA – OMNIA Institute for Contextual Leadership visiting representative to Liberia, Rev. Dr. Abare Kallah has cautioned Liberians to take proud in building sustainable peace.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, October 24, in Monrovia, Dr. Kallah stated that building peace is an inclusive initiative that requires the efforts of every single Liberian, something he described as the best strategy for achieving sustainable peace.
The Nigerian clergyman further stated, “if Liberia should achieve the goal for a sustainable peace, every sector should be considered, most importantly the vulnerable population”.
Dr. Kallah who is head of OMNIA Leadership in Nigeria also stated that the theory of inclusion in peacemaking is greatly helping the institution achieve its goal in Nigeria.
Rev. Dr. Abare Kallah also meeting with stakeholders in Liberia, expressed satisfaction over the level of commitment that is being dedicated to peacebuilding in Liberia.
Having a brief discussion with the Senior Project Manager of Liberia Peacebuilding Office Christopher K. Fayia, Dr. Kallah projected Liberia to achieve more sustainable peace in the near future, describing the country’s national peacebuilding office as proof of the government’s commitment to long-lasting peace.
Also speaking, the national peacebuilding official highlighted the poor social development of Liberians as one of the major causes of an undermined peace.
The Senior Project Manager of Liberia Peacebuilding Office Christopher K. Fayia, also offered the institution’s support to the Concerned Christian Community (CCC) and Omnia Institute for Contextual Leadership during the workshop of the “Interfaith Peacemaker Team(IPT).
Speaking also in an orientation workshop with CCC officials, Dr. Kallah challenged the body to focus on the pending December 2023 general elections and considered the IPT training as a crucial and prime concern.
