SCHOOLS SHUT DOWN NATIONWIDE FOR BOAKAI’S INAUGURATION

MONROVIA – Ahead of next Monday’s inauguration of Liberia’s 26th President, Joe Boakai, the Ministry of Education has announced the shutting down of schools nation-wide.

In a statement released to the press Friday, 19th January, the Ministry of Education announced that in anticipation of the impending inauguration program, it was ordering the temporary suspension of school activities across the country.

Activities in primary, junior, and secondary schools nationwide, are ordered suspended briefly on Monday, 22nd January 2024, to be resumed the following day, Tuesday, 23rd January, according to the Ministry of Education.

The Ministry urges school authorities to adhere to the provided guidelines for what it termed the seamless continuation of school activities during this brief break.
