MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Officers of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) have arrested three women in River Gee County following the execution of a search and seizure operation in the Tienpo and Younken communities. The operation, led by the LDEA’s Deputy Commander, resulted in the discovery of multiple illegal substances concealed in a private residence.
According to an official release issued by the LDEA on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, agents uncovered a half plate of compressed marijuana, six wraps of marijuana, and a bottle of King Juice reportedly mixed with marijuana. The combined street value of the confiscated drugs is estimated at LRD 15,600.
The suspects have been identified as Tetee Bestman, age 38, Naomi Bestman, age 41, and Lovetee Jimmy, age 22, all of whom are Liberian nationals. They were immediately taken into custody and are being held at the LDEA’s Fish Town City office, where they are undergoing interrogation.
Authorities confirmed that formal charges will be filed and the suspects will be forwarded to court in keeping with the laws of Liberia. The LDEA reiterated its commitment to enforcing drug laws and urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any drug-related activities through its hotline.
The agency emphasized the importance of community cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking and abuse, calling on all Liberians to join in efforts to ensure a safe and drug-free society.
