MONROVIA – A female Liberian politician has called on the United States Government to stop funding the George Weah Government because monies intended for saving lives and developing the country were allegedly landing in the private pockets of officials for their personal satisfaction.
She said it is the stolen monies the Weah Government officials are using to woo Liberians for their bid for a second term. McDalla Cooper made the statement last evening on the popular Spoon Talk radio and TV program.
Madam Coooer called Weah and his officials “thugs and thieves” who are buying voters with stolen monies after they failed to perform for six years.
Madam Cooper also accused President George Weah of exhibiting laziness and incompetence on the job; alleging he’s simply boiling, drinking, and dining on stolen monies.
She said Liberian opposition must get serious to stand up to Weah and his “Criminal Thugs’, pointing out that this is about time to show love for Liberia.
Madam Cooper disclosed that Weah and his officials have started to rig the upcoming elections by the failed housing and population census process and the BVR process. She said the US Ambassador’s recent press statement about corruption in the Weah Government, the Americans are tired of the form and manner Weah and his “criminal partners” are running the country.
Madam Cooper disclosed that President Weah is not a feminist in chief as he claimed, she told the interview, that Weah simply abuses women. He called on the Liberian leader to shut his mouth because when he speaks, he talks some ridiculous things. Cooper said Weah only helps women who he allegedly laid out with.
Madam Cooper’s outburst comes barely 24 hours after United States Ambassador, Michael McCarthy expressed his disgust about how Liberians in leeward counties and some of their national institutions have been very badly mistreated by the Liberian Government, including the legislature.
Madam Cooper stated that it is now clearer that the Weah government is a composition of thieves, and no matter of tolerance would change anything for Liberia.
She stated that time was fast running out in allowing the George Weah government to roam and steal from the Liberian coffers for personal enrichment.
Touching on the forthcoming October elections, Madam Cooper said there is no time to waste for the opposition to unite against President George Weah and stop thinking the October 2023 polls would be free and fair.
“Let me tell you this, the Weah’s government has already rigged the October 2023 elections for several reasons: fake census, low budgetary support to NEC, ineffective voter registration equipment, etc.” Madam MacDella Cooper said.
Madam Cooper calls on the opposition to put down their personal ambition to rise up to wrap the George Weah government outcome in October 2023.
“Look Boakia, Cummings, Gongole, and the entire opposition block, it’s time to get up from our A***s to rescue Liberia, If we don’t, we must all await the worse from this criminal Weah Government,” Cooper added.
On Monday, April 24, 2023, US Ambassador Michael R. McCarthy again ignited another talking point that is probably intended to awaken the consciousness of Liberians as they head to the polls in October this year.
In a very strongly worded press statement released on Monday, April 24, Amb. McCarthy didn’t mince his words in expressing his disgust about how Liberians and some of their national institutions have been very badly mistreated by the Liberian Government, including the legislature.
He accused the Liberian lawmakers of only being concerned about themselves by stating among other things: “And I am quite sure they have not been told that the legislature has spent more every year for the past three years buttering their own bread, allocating over US$65 million in 2022 for salaries and operations. That’s correct – while hospitals went without, and service centers withered on the vine, the 30 senators and the 73 representatives spent sixty-five million U.S. dollars feathering their own
