NEC SAYS 1.4 MILLION LIBERIANS PARTICIPATED IN THE FIRST SIX COUNTIES BVR PROCESS

MONROVIA – The National Elections Commission (NEC) has announced the final numbers for the first six counties that conducted the Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) between March 20 to April 9.

The number of registrants as reported by NEC in Montserrado County is  891,201. 64,395 in Bomi, 50,887 in Gbatpolu, and 157,712 in Grand Bassa County.

NEC further reports that Grand Cape Mount accounted for 86,589 and Margibi registered 184,425; bringing phase one of the voter registration to a total of 1,435,209 registered voters.
