GBARNGA, BONG COUNTY – ForumCIV Liberia Country Representative, Asa David Chon has termed 2022 as a successful year for the organization’s operations in Liberia.
ForumCIV is a Swedish organization that supports Civil Society Organizations in over seventy Countries in development cooperation, Advocacy, projects support, and capacity development.
The organization was founded in 1995 and it’s the largest Civil Society platform in Sweden.
According to Mr. Chon, five Million United States dollars was given to ForumCIV Liberia by its partners to be distributed to eleven Civil Society organizations, student groupings, and Women’s Organizations in the entity’s operational areas in Liberia.
He named Bong, Bomi, and Grand Gedeh as Counties that benefited from ForumCIV’s five million United States grants during the period of 2022.
Besides the progress made in 2022, Mr. Chon also named the implementations of Projects earmarked by some Civil Society Organizations and the depreciation of the Swedish currency against the United States dollar exchange rate amongst several others as challenges the organization experienced over the past year.
