BEA MOUNTAIN CONFIRMS FATAL ACCIDENT INVOLVING OPERATIONAL TRUCK IN BOMI, LNP INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY

LIBERIA – The management of Bea Mountain Mining Corporation (BMMC) regrets to announce that on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at about 1:30 p.m., a truck transporting operational materials from Monrovia to the New Liberty Gold Mine in Grand Cape Mount County was involved in a tragic road accident near Jenneh #3 in Bomi County.

In a press release issued by BMMC’s Media Team on Sunday, September 8, 2024, and signed by the management, it was stated that the cause of the accident remains unknown. The Liberian National Police (LNP) has been informed and is actively investigating the incident. Sadly, reports indicate that the accident resulted in multiple fatalities.

BMMC has already dispatched a team to the area and established contact with the victims’ families. The company is focused on providing necessary support to the families during this difficult time and asks the public to respect their privacy and the sensitivity of the matter.

The management assures the public that all necessary actions will be taken and pledges full cooperation with the authorities as the investigation proceeds.
