The 2022 LFA Awards Committee has unveiled the three candidates nominated by coaches, captains, media, and the public that will be deserving of scooping awards on 3 December 2022 at the third consecutive awards ceremony which will be held at the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town.
The committee disclosed the names of all 45 nominees at a brief and colorful presentation held in Sinkor at Fuzion Restaurant on Tuesday, 1 November attended by the president of the LFA Mustapha Raji, Executive Committee Members, stakeholders, coaches, captains, and a handful of nominees.
For the top nominees in the male category, Invincible Eleven talismanic midfielder Sidiki Kromah topped the poll followed by LISCR starlet Sheku Sheriff and Watanga championship-winning captain Farsedu Logan.
In the female category, Determined Girls’ Guinean match winner Bountou Sylla will be challenged by fellow teammate Pauline Agbotsu and Ambassadors fleet-footed forward Edwardline Jackson.
In the Best Male coach grouping, Robert Lartey who won the title with Watanga before heading Bea Mountain lead the way, while Mighty Barrolle’s Matthew Julutweh and Freeport’s fairytale prophet who almost made history, the late David Paul completes the trio.
Determined Girls’ championship-winning coach Robertson Warner, Dc Shooters’ Monroe Winn, and Peter Williams will compete for the Best Coach in the female Upper League.
Jasper Benfelix after winning the 2nd Division Championship with Cece United will fancy his chances against Tony’s FC Otis Tarnue and Stanley Parker of Jubilee in the running for the top prize in the Best Coach for the 2nd Division.

There were also three nominees shortlisted for Best defenders in both 1st and 2nd Divisions and including Women’s Upper League.
Nominations of fan of the year in both male and female categories which are introduced only the first time were dominated by Simeone Deward, the late Kapao Kapao, and Walster Samuel Johson in the male event, and Peaches Johnson, Elizabeth Nyandibo, and Joyce Cooper completed the female section.
Hassan Corneh again made the pick for Best male referee nomination ahead of Musa Sesay and Stanley Konnah, Jr., while central referee Love Wehyee Sylvina will compete for the award award-winning for Best female referee against incumbent Sylvina Garnett and Lovetee Sector.
LFA Award-winning journalist at the 2021 gala Joseph Vincent made the nomination list twice in both Print and Social journalists of the year award.
At the unveiling ceremony, President Raji thanked everyone including all the sponsors of football including Orange Liberia and Doxx Bet for their unwavering support in developing Liberia Football in a special way.

At the dead end of the ceremony, the awards for the supposed winners, of the MVP awards, two branded SUVs were as well unveiled and cameras of journalists who covered the occasion were attracted to them like moths to a flame.
