FORMER REBEL LEADER GENERAL PRINCE Y. JOHNSON CLAIMS PRESIDENT BOAKAI BETRAYS HIM, CALLS FOR ABOLISHMENT OF AMNESTY LAW

Former rebel leader, Gen. Prince Johnson of the defunct Independent National Patriotic Front of Liberia (INPF), has expressed his anger and disappointment towards his once-close friend, President Joe Boakai. Johnson revealed that President Boakai has been avoiding his phone calls, leaving him perplexed and hurt. This revelation comes at a time when President Boakai recently met with renowned human rights activist, Dr. Alan White, further fueling Johnson’s suspicion and frustrations.

In a candid interview with a local radio station recently, Johnson boldly stated that he is not intimidated by President Boakai’s alleged gameplan. He even went as far as proclaiming, “As I speak, former generals and ex-combatants who fought in the war are currently holding a consultative meeting on this issue.” These remarks are believed to be a veiled reference to former rebel soldiers who are ready to defend Johnson.

It is important to note that Gen. Prince Johnson gained notoriety for his involvement in the abduction and brutal torture of former President Samuel K. Doe. Johnson abducted President Doe from the West African Peacekeepers’ headquarters at the Freeport of Monrovia, taking him to his Caldwell base where he subjected him to unimaginable suffering.before killing him on camera. Additionally, Johnson has openly admitted to killing Burkina Faso President Thomas Sankara, justifying it as necessary for the success of their Subversion mission in Liberia in 1989.

In a startling accusation, Johnson claimed that President Boakai has received monetary support from the United States to establish a court to prosecute war and Economic Crimes. This alleged betrayal has deeply hurt Johnson, who feels stabbed in the back by his former ally who has worked so hard to make President .
