PRESIDENT BOAKAI MAKES ADDITIONAL APPOINTMENTS IN GOVERNMENT

LIBERIA – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. of the Republic of Liberia has announced the nomination of several officials to key positions within the government. These appointments will directly impact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Fire Service, highlighting the President’s commitment to strengthening these vital sectors.

The nominees include Eva Koon, who has been nominated as the Assistant Minister for Administration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. With her extensive experience and expertise, Koon is expected to bring efficiency and effectiveness to the administrative operations of the ministry.

Yah Boayue has been nominated as the Inspector General for Foreign Service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Boayue’s appointment is expected to enhance the professionalism and coordination within the foreign service, ensuring the smooth execution of Liberia’s diplomatic endeavors.

Christiana Wahblo Konneh has been nominated as the Assistant Minister for American Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Her deep knowledge and understanding of American affairs will undoubtedly contribute to fostering strong bilateral relations between Liberia and the United States.

In addition, G. Warsuwah Barvoul, Sr. has been appointed as the Director of the National Fire Service. Barvoul’s leadership and experience will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and protection of the Liberian people against fire-related incidents.

It is important to note that these nominations are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate, as per the constitutional requirements. President Boakai emphasizes the significance of diligence, commitment, integrity, professionalism, and loyalty in serving the nation. He calls on all the nominated and appointed officials to uphold these values in their respective roles.
