MONROVIA, LIBERIA – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has taken swift action by suspending Mr. Garrison Yealue, Chairperson, and Madam Elizabeth Dorkin, Commissioner of the Governance Commission, with immediate effect, citing activities inconsistent with the institution’s founding Act.
In a press release issued today and signed by Kula Bonah Nyei Fofana, President Boakai’s Press Secretary, it was stated that the President has also instituted a committee to investigate the matter thoroughly. The suspended officials have been urged to fully cooperate with the investigative team, aligning with President Boakai’s dedication to fairness, accountability, and justice.

Fofana, and Mr. Patrick Honnah as Acting Chairperson and Acting Commissioners, respectively. These appointments aim to ensure continuity and stability within the Governance Commission until the conclusion of the General Auditing Commission’s audit.
