MARGIBI COUNTY – On December 20, 2024, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai officially launched the construction of a modern National Clinical Diagnostic and Treatment Laboratory near the EBK Military Barracks in Margibi County. This milestone event marks a significant step forward in Liberia’s efforts to revolutionize its healthcare system and address critical gaps in medical services.
The laboratory project, a collaborative endeavor between the Liberian Government and the People’s Republic of China, reflects a shared dedication to enhancing public health. Funded by the Chinese Government and executed through China Aid Liberia, the facility aims to provide cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment services, setting a new standard for healthcare delivery in the country.
President Boakai, in his remarks, underscored the transformative potential of the project. “This laboratory represents a promise to every Liberian—access to quality healthcare is no longer a distant dream. It stands as a beacon of hope, symbolizing progress and a healthier future for all,” he stated.
The laboratory is designed to meet international standards, ensuring that Liberians receive world-class healthcare services.
