The Liberian Government has for the first time spoken on the accident involving finance minister Samuel Tweah and others.
The government says the Finance and Development Minister, Samuel Tweah, had been flown to Ankara, Turkey for advanced medical checkup days after he and his wife and three others sustained injuries from a road accident.
The government notes that the Minister and his wife are recuperating after undergoing surgeries at the Florence Nightingale Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey, a statement signed by Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie revealed.
The statement notes that the three others who were also injured along with Tweah and his wife were discharged from the hospital in Monrovia.
