LIBERIA – A credible source has hinted to Smart News Liberia that the opposition Alternative National Congress through Mr. Alexander B. Cummings has concluded its investigation on the disappearance of the US$70,000 intended to fund Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) on December 17, 2022 ‘We Tiya Suffering” rally.
According to the source, who is close to the ANC’s political leader, Cummings, said the investigation outcome is demanding both Mr. Martin Kollah and Amb. Lewis G. Brown takes full responsibility for the missing US$70K.
Mr. Kollen is the Secretay General of the opposition Liberty Party (LP). The Liberty Party and the Alternative National Congress (ANC) are collaborating under the umbrella of “Collaborating Political Parties (CPP).” And Amb. Brown is the head of the campaign for Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) standard bearer Mr. Alexander B. Cummings and the organizer of the rally.
Accordingly, the source indicated that Mr. Cummings has informed his team that if the two individuals will not take responsibility, he will not approve any investigative report.
It can be recalled, the CPP in a statement issued December 16, 20222 in Monrovia, stated that the missing fund was reported by Deputy Secretary Martin Kollah who was the custodian of the money before its disappearance
In the statement, Mr. Kollah announced that the money was stolen by his driver by the name of Simeon G. Davis.
The CPP, at the same time, has called on the Liberia National Police to also handle its investigation into the matter with utmost urgency so as to bring the alleged culprit(s) to justice.
