INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL POLICE ORGANIZATION ARRESTS FRANCIS FAYIAH ACCUSED OF STEALING OVER $100K

MONROVIA – The International Criminal Police Organization, commonly known as Interpol on Wednesday, May 12, 2023, arrested and turned over Francis Fayiah to the Liberian security apparatus for allegedly stealing over 100K United States dollars from a manufacturing company, MANCO.

MANCO is owned by Barrolle’s Vice President for Basketball Affairs, Asaad Fadel.

Fayiah, a key member of the Barrolle squad that won the Liberia Basketball Association First Division League back to back was reportedly in the employ of MANCO.

He was arrested at the Ghana-Ivory Coast border following ten months of search operations.

Fayiah has been charged by the Liberia National Police (LNP) with misapplication of entrusted properties and theft of properties.

The player speaking to journalists at the Robert International Air Port upon arrival denied stealing any money from the company, noting he was never in charge of finance.
