BISHOP KLAYEE’S FEED THE HUNGRY INITIATIVE BRINGS HOPE TO ROCK HOLE GSA COMMUNITY WITH FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Date:

MONTSERRADO CO., LIBERIA – On Saturday, September 21, 2024, smiles lit up the faces of residents in the Rock Hole GSA Road area as a significant consignment of assorted food items arrived, courtesy of Feed The Hungry, a humanitarian initiative founded by Bishop John Allan Klayee. The distribution, led by Bishop Klayee himself, brought much-needed relief to the elderly, widows, and widowers from the Rock Hill, Rock Hole, Kola Tree, and Zinnia Hill communities.

Bishop Klayee, who is also the Founder and Overseer of the Jubilee Praise and Worship Center, expressed his joy in giving back to those in need, emphasizing that Feed The Hungry remains committed to providing for the less fortunate. “We are delighted to be able to support those in need, and we hope this distribution will make a meaningful impact on their lives,” Klayee remarked before the process began.

The event was met with joy and gratitude from the recipients, many of whom praised Bishop Klayee for his compassion and commitment to their well-being. “We are thankful for Bishop Klayee and his organization for looking out for us in such difficult times,” one of the beneficiaries said.

Bishop Klayee’s journey of humanitarian work began in 2006 when he first provided care for three abandoned infants inside his church edifice on the Old Road. From that small beginning, the mission expanded, as church members and community dwellers spread the word, leading to the care of additional children in need. By 2006, Bishop Klayee was caring for 19 children, which eventually grew into a nationwide feeding program.

In 2009, the initiative gained a significant boost when Bishop Klayee partnered with LeSEA Global Feed The Hungry, a humanitarian group founded by the late Dr. Lester Sumrall. Through this partnership, the “Every Day Every Child” program, also known as Feed The Hungry-Liberia, was able to expand its reach, establishing 19 feeding centers across Liberia, catering to approximately 19,300 children.

Bishop Klayee’s program not only feeds orphans and abandoned children but also regularly distributes food to schools, churches, old folks, and even a hospital in Nimba County. With support from the Liberty Church in Fairfield, California, led by his spiritual parents Bishop Richard and Pastor Joan West, Bishop Klayee was linked with LeSEA Global Feed The Hungry, which has become his largest donor and partner.

Through his tireless efforts and partnerships, Bishop Klayee and his organization continue to impact thousands of lives across Liberia, ensuring that at least one child is fed every day. The recent distribution in the Rock Hole GSA community is yet another testament to his ongoing commitment to feeding the hungry and serving the most vulnerable in society.
