BOAKAI’S OFFICIAL DRAGGED TO COURT OVER LACK OF SUPPORT TO HIS SON

Date:

MONROVIA – A top official of President Joseph Boakai’s administration, Eugene L. Fahngon, Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), has been dragged to court over alleged lack of support to his son, Eugene Lamie Fahngon, Jr.

The mother of Fahngon Jr., Madam Fatmata Mansaray, has filed a formal complaint at the Paynesville Magisterial Court against the LBS boss, with the court summoning Mr. Fahngon to a conference slated for Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the hour of 3:00 PM, court document in the possession of Smart News Liberia (SNL) reveals.

In her complaint, Madam Mansaray informed the court that since 2023, Mr. Fahngon, has discontinued supporting his child and including the mother to the extent that they have become family liability.

She further told the court that Mr. Fahngon has threatened her, indicating that if she dares to challenge him by complaining or taking him anywhere, he will fight back in a legal battle.

“It is hereby order[ed] that due to the nature of the complaint, His Honor (Cllr. William G. Saygah, Stipendiary Magistrate, Paynesville City Magisterial Court) has ordered that you appear on the date and time mentioned above for an amicable settlement out of litigation,” noted, a petition dated 17 February 2025 and signed by Clerk of Court Hector M. Dolo.
