CENTER FOR TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN LIBERIA HOSTS ANTI-CORRUPTION FINANCING DIALOGUE

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Center for Transparency and Accountability in Liberia (CENTAL), funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), is organizing a significant event scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the Boulevard Palace in Sinkor, Monrovia.

The event, titled “Anti-corruption Financing Dialogue”, will delve into the critical theme of “Increasing Funding For Anti-corruption.”

The dialogue aims to spotlight the importance of robust financial support in bolstering anti-corruption efforts across Liberia. With corruption being a persistent challenge, mobilizing adequate resources is crucial to effectively combat this issue and foster a more transparent and accountable governance system.

Distinguished panelists have been lined up to share their insights and expertise during the event. The panel will include:

Hon. Clarence Gahr – Chairperson, Public Account Committee;

Hon. P. Garswa Jackson – Auditor General, GAC;

Cllr. Alexandra K. Zoe – Executive Chairperson, LACC; and

Mr. Jeffrey N. Yates – Head of Secretariat, LEITI

These esteemed panelists will discuss various aspects of anti-corruption financing, share experiences, and propose strategies to enhance funding mechanisms for anti-corruption initiatives in Liberia.
