DAMAGED BRIDGE IN KARLUWAY UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Date:

By Aaron B. Nemah

MARYLAND CO., LIBERIA – The bridge in Karluway District #3, which recently collapsed following heavy rainfall, has been causing significant disruptions for residents and commodity transport, leaving many stranded. The wooden bridge, situated in Karluway District #3, links Barrobo and Dorobo Konoso.

Since the bridge’s collapse, it has posed a severe impediment for vehicles, especially ambulances, making it difficult to transport patients to nearby hospitals. In response to the crisis, District #3 Representative Hon. Austin B. Taylor has swiftly intervened to address the residents’ needs by beginning the construction of a modern bridge worth millions of dollars.

“We are very concerned about the situation where the bridge linking Dorobo Konoso and Barrobo was washed away by flooding from the recent downpour. Our team was immediately dispatched to the site to commence reconstruction of the wooden bridge while equipment for placing the logs is also in place. We assure the citizens of Barrobo and Karluway that the team is working assiduously to restore the bridge in the shortest possible time,” stated Desmond Dogbeh.

Dogbeh added that the construction of the modern bridge is Honorable Austin B. Taylor’s initial contribution to his constituents, thanking them for electing him as their representative. The reconstruction efforts have brought smiles to the faces of Karluway residents, who are eagerly anticipating the completion of the modern bridge by Representative Taylor.
