ERNEST BAI KOROMA DENIED FROM ENTERING GERMANY TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION

Date:

By Uncle Sankara Media Platform

It seems as if Ernest Bai Koroma is suffering from a self-delusional egocentrism. His overrated self-importance was busted and deflated by the German Ambassador Annett Gunther in Nigeria when he was refused entry into Germany over the weekend to seek medical attention.

After he was granted exit from Sierra Leone to rest in peace in Nigeria, he was convinced that he would break his exile terms and conditions by perambulating across the globe to fulfill his sinister motives against the democratically elected government of Julius Maada Bio.

He was shocked to be refused entry into Germany after he colluded with his local Doctor to assume a medical condition that was presented to the court to escape justice for treason and corruption-related indictments.

Despite faking his medical circumstance, the Sierra Leone judiciary cited compassionate and humanitarian grounds to grant the principle Coupist, Ernest Bai Koroma a medical leave in the form of exile to Nigeria.

The Sierra Leone government acted professionally. It refused to hinder the decision of the judiciary, which can be interpreted as a show of magnanimity in order to maintain peace and stability.

ECOWAS was of the view that the trial and continuous stay of Ernest Bai Koroma in the country could not only ignite tribal and regional tension but could flicker political polarization, that could further jeopardize peace and security in Sierra Leone and the Mano River region.

Given that Sierra Leone had a history of a brutal 11-year civil war, the Bio-led government accepted the proposal of ECOWAS, not out of bully, but it was a show of sincerity of purpose to enhance national cohesion. Flying to Germany to seek medical attention was never part of the bail conditions granted to Ernest Bai Koroma.

But he thinks that he would cunningly hoodwink the German government to succumb to his wish. The German government, I suppose knows the risk of allowing a man who is accused of treason and money laundering to set foot on its soil.

After consulting with the German Ambassador in Sierra Leone Jens Kraus-Masse`, the European Union representative in Sierra Leone, Manuel Muller who coincidentally is a German, it was deemed very dangerous to allow a criminal with treason and corruption charges hanging over his head to enter Germany.

Cognizance of the fact that Ernest Bai Koroma has looted the country`s resources that are stashed in secret foreign bank accounts, he has the wherewithal to seek the services of any medical practitioner around the world.

On that ground, the German government concluded that Ernest Bai Koroma must call for his doctor in Germany to attend to him in Nigeria, instead of allowing a Coupist and a Criminal to fly to Germany by himself.

If allowed to enter Germany, he could convene a meeting of the APC European, American, and African branches and devise ways to further create chaos and mayhem for the Bio-led government. People would be surprised to see “Adebayor”, the social media rabble-rouser accustomed to venting motherly invectives against leaders of government, who is living next door in Holland to grace such a meeting.
