LIBERIA – The Liberian Finance Minister has been flown out of the country for advanced treatment after a serious car accident on the Lofa- Bong Highway, according to multiple sources.
Minister Samuel D. Tweah, his wife, and his entourage were involved in a tragic motor accident while returning from Lofa over the weekend.
The extent of the injuries is not known, but sources say, they were first taken to the Phebe Hospital in Gbarbga and then to the JFK Hospital in Monrovia for stabilization before being flown out of the country early Monday morning.
The Liberian Finance Minister had gone to Lofa to serve as keynote speaker at the graduation ceremonies of Lofa County College.
There has been no official position on the accident by the Liberian Government.
