FIFA-badged referee Sylvina Welma Garnett has taken charge of two matches at the ongoing West African Football Union (WAFU Zone ‘A’) women’s Nations Cup finals in Sal, Cape Verde.
Garnett officiated the opening match when Cape Verde walloped Guinea Bissau 4-0 in Group ‘A’ at the Marcelo Leitão Stadium on 20 January.
She was in the middle of park when Gambia thrashed Sierra Leone 4-1 in Group ‘B’ at the same venue on 21 January.
Garnett was assisted by Furtado Da Costa Lima Evandra Celina of Cape Verde as assistant referee #1, compatriot Hannah Moses as assistant referee #2, Senegal’s Maimouna Danfakha as fourth official and Mauritania’s Oumou Souleymane Kane as match commissioner.
Others were referee assessor Oulera Daloba of Guinea, general coordinator Florence Marie Aimée Biagui of Senegal and Gambia’s Sainabou Cham of the technical study group.
