MONROVIA – The Honorable House of Representatives has passed into law a bill establishing the Liberia Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Commission. This legislative milestone was achieved through the efforts of Hon. Muka Kamara and Hon. Anthony Williams, representing Montserrado County Electoral District 14 and Maryland County Pleebo District 2, respectively.
The decision to enact the bill was driven by a thorough review and recommendations put forth by the Joint Committee on Education and Public Administration. According to the Joint Committee’s report, the bill underwent extensive analysis and scrutiny, culminating in an Educational Stakeholders and Development Partners Dialogue and Engagement on Friday, June 7, 2024.
Following meticulous examination, the Joint Committee endorsed the bill for passage to the Plenary of the House of Representatives. Consequently, the bill has been officially enacted, establishing the Liberia Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Commission.
