ISAAC JACKSON TO LEAD ‘ENOUGH IS ENOUGH’ CAMPAIGN AGAINST CORRUPTION AND INJUSTICE

Date:

MONROVIA – The Organizing Committee of the anticipated July 17 “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH” Peaceful Protest has announced the appointment of Attorney Isaac W. Jackson, Jr. as the official spokesman for the grassroots movement known as ‘WE THE PEOPLE.’

Attorney Jackson, a prominent legal figure and outspoken advocate for social justice, will serve as the public face of a protest that organizers describe as a critical turning point in Liberia’s democratic journey. Known for his sharp legal mind and decades-long dedication to democratic reform, Jackson is widely regarded as one of Liberia’s most consistent voices for the rule of law and the rights of ordinary citizens.

With this appointment, Jackson is tasked with leading the protest’s public engagement efforts and giving voice to the frustrations of thousands of Liberians who feel disillusioned by the state of governance under the Boakai administration. Protest organizers say Jackson’s record of integrity and fearless advocacy makes him a natural fit to speak on behalf of a citizen-led movement seeking transformative change.

Set for July 17, the protest aims to hold President Joseph Boakai and his government accountable on multiple fronts, including what organizers call a disregard for the authority of the Supreme Court and interference in the legislative process. The protest is also rallying against systemic corruption, economic exclusion, and the persistent marginalization of everyday Liberians, from petty traders to civil servants, motorbike riders, and victims of police brutality.

In a statement released Thursday, the Organizing Committee praised Jackson as a “beacon” of the kind of Liberia the movement seeks to build, one anchored in justice, equity, and the unwavering respect for constitutional governance.

As momentum builds, the protest is drawing support from civil society, grassroots organizations, and citizens across all sectors who say they are tired of promises with no delivery. Organizers say July 17 will be a historic moment, where Liberians from all walks of life will come together to declare, in unison, that they have had enough.

“We are proud to welcome Atty. Jackson into this role,” the statement read. “His leadership will be instrumental as we prepare for a landmark day in our nation’s history, a day when the people rise to say, loud and clear: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.”
